Are you measuring your marketing?

It’s all well and good being active with your marketing activities and from the outside, it looks great. But for you as a business to really benefit, you need to be looking deeper into what works and what doesn’t to ensure you are being effective.

When I say measuring your marketing, I am talking more about lead generation response rates, return on engagement and overall traffic to your chosen destination.

It may sound like a painful process but there are plenty of tools out there to help, naturally, these tools lie within your digital marketing platforms. Firstly, make sure you have an analytics tool attached to your website, this will allow you to collect and analyse data about users which can provide valuable insights into how people use the site. Secondly, ensure that you are aware of the analytics tools that are included in your social media and email marketing platforms. Any online adverts that you have committed to should also be able to provide you with results of engagement.

Next, LOOK AT THEM! It’s another job on the to-do list but it’s one that you will benefit from. It would be best practice to look at analytics once a month and monitor them in collaboration with your marketing campaigns to gauge effectiveness. Are people reacting as you would like? If not, change it!

These valuable insights will allow you to tailor your marketing campaigns to ensure you are being targeted, personalised and above all, effective! Give it a try and change up some of your content in line with the numbers, you might be surprised at the results.
